Visitor and Companion Policies
Points to be considered during patient visits;
- Patient wards can be visited between 10.00 -22.00. These hours are organized taking into account the care and sleep times of the patients. Visiting hours in intensive care units are specific to the department. Please observe the specified visiting hours.
- Patient visits should be made in accordance with the procedures determined by our hospital, in a way that will not cause situations that will disturb the peace and tranquility of the patients.
Please do not insist on visiting the patient in special cases that the doctor does not allow. - In intensive care units, patient visits are not allowed in case of an emergency. In the wards, make sure that the visiting time does not exceed 15 minutes and that there are no more than 2 visitors in the room.
- In intensive care units, please follow the visiting times of the department (detailed information is available at the entrance of each intensive care unit).
- It is not appropriate to bring children under the age of 15 to visit the patient.
- Only the physician is authorized to give information about your patient. Do not force other employees to get information.
- It is forbidden to bring cell phones and bags to patient visits in Intensive Care Units.
- Never bring food from outside to your patient.
- There should be no more than two visitors at each bedside and no talking loudly enough to disturb other patients.
- Please do not sit on the patient's bed during the visit to prevent the risk of infection. Do not touch anything at the bedside or in the hospital environment.
- Do not touch the equipment connected to the patient during the visit.
- Wash and disinfect your hands before the visit, especially in intensive care units.
- Do not visit the patient if you have a contagious disease such as flu, cold, etc.
- Do not bring flowers with soil and bouquets of flowers to be placed in a vase. These flowers are not accepted in patient services as they carry a risk of infection for your patient.
- Patient privacy must be respected.
- Please pay attention if there are warning signs on your patient's room door.
Remember, your patient's health is as important to us as it is to you.
COMPANION POLICY
- The patient's doctor determines whether the patient needs a companion.
- The number of companions is limited to one person.
- The companion must not be with the patient during visits and medical care.
- The companion assists in the care of the patient to the extent permitted.
- The companion must comply with all the rules set by the hospital.
- Some clinics do not have an escort policy.
Note: Apart from these main rules, each clinic may establish its own special accompanying policy.
